This purpose of the module is to present the psychosocial aspects of chronic illness.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
• The psychosocial aspects of chronic illness.  
• Dependencies
• Addressing the psychosocial needs of patients, family members and caregivers
• Emotional burdens encountered in living with and taking care of a chronically ill person.
Intended Audience
Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Therapists 
Author Bio
GARY GILLES, LCPC Gary Gilles is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (L.C.P.C) with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Master of Divinity from Trinity International University. He has maintained a clinical practice since 1987 and currently has a private counseling practice in Palatine, IL and a relationship and life coaching practice nationwide. He serves as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Chicago Social Service Program, Trinity International University in Psychology and Communications and for Argosy University in Psychology.
