The purpose of this module is to discuss the effectiveness and validity of short-term psychotherapy.

What is short-term, anxiety provoking psychotherapy
Treatment techniques include the use of anxiety to disorganize the patient in order to promote insight and growth.

PETER SIFNEOS, MD Peter Sifneos, MD is Professor Emeritus at Harvard Medical School. He is the originator of short-term, anxiety provoking psychotherapy, the oldest systematically studies type of brief therapy in the US.
