Ethics and Self-Disclosure
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
Ethical self-disclosure
Being “blank” as a therapist or caregiver
Different self-disclosure for different patients
Sharing other patient’s stories
How to react to patient’s emotions
Contact with patient’s outside therapy or caregiving setting

Intended Audience
Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Therapists 
Author Bio

George Stricker, Ph.D. - Dr. George Stricker is the immediate Past Dean and distinguished research professor at George F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University.  He is also on a faculty of the Institute for Integrated Training in Psychotherapy.  Currently as well, he is the clinical research director of a grant from Shoplifters Anonymous and principal investigator on a research grant from the Lindemann Foundation for a project entitled, “The Experience Of Grandparenting.”  His resume lists a lifetime of educational research and editorial activities, authorship and co-authorship of twenty-one books, thirty-two chapters, and nine-two articles, not counting book reviews, and a lifetime as well of professional presentations
